Fahleson predicts bright Republican future

230 Students: Now that you've heard NET Radio interviewing the new Nebraska Democratic Party chairman, compare and contrast it with this interview with the new Nebraska Republican Party chairman.



Both major political parties in Nebraska have elected new state chairmen since the November election. Monday, we heard from the Nebraska Democratic Party chairman. Today, it's Nebraska Republican Party Chairman Mark Fahleson.

  1. I find it a little humorous that the Republican party is scrambling to regain support after losing so miserably in the last elections. I believe that Fahleson said something like "don't go with the flow of everyone else turning into a Democrat because we messed up so bad these last 8 years. Be a rebel and be a Republican because we are really suffering and need you back." Okay, so maybe it wasn't quite that bad, but I continue to sense a bit of disparity in the voices of the Republican organization and leaders in the government. Fahleson seemed a bit arrogant to me as well, saying that in fact it was the Republican party that had the better track record of saving the nation from economic downturn. The Republican party is suffering, and I think that that they need to rework their game plan or else suffer another devastating loss.
